It seems that the JSR317 expert group is going to standardize this kind of
mapping (see chapter 9.1.22 of JPA2.0 early draft). I am rather pleased to
see that the expert group finally gave up its didactic attitude and now sees
uni-/bi-directionality and join-table/join-column as orthogonal aspects of
the one-to-many-relationship type.
