After investigating your code more, I think I found where all those hidden
functions come from:
http://groovy.codehaus.org/api/org/codehaus/groovy/runtime/DefaultGroovyMethods.html

Am I correct in assuming that every groovy class inherits from
DefaultGroovyMethods?
