Hi,

some of you might remember that we started working on a extension of the
groovy-eclipse plugin to introduce refactoring.

Our first term project ended in December '07 and by the end of that we
had a first version [1] that included the "extract method refactoring"
ready. We announced this version on this mailing list but haven't gotten
any feedback yet. Now that there seems to be some more activity on the
mailing list, we'd like to know who's responsible for the refactoring
part of the plugin (if there's even someone).

Our plugin is based on groovy-eclipse with a (modified) groovy 1.1 core
(we fixed some spots in the grammar to get correct line / column
information in the AST), but we're planing to provide a new version that
works with the new release (1.5) within the next 4 weeks.

We're going to continue our work on this subject as a bachelor thesis
and for that we're planing to introduce "rename refactorings" as well as
a formatter.

It is our goal to integrate our work into the plugin and therefore it
would be awesome if someone could have a look at our release [1] or the
documentation [2] that we wrote.
