Great, I will dig into that.

Just to clarify, if submitting a patch for an existing ticket, do I still create a new ticket, or just attach to the existing ticket?

Hi Sean,

Thanks for your interest in helping NHibernate development.  As a starter, you may have a look at http://www.hibernate.org/428.html.  It is a bit out dated, but there should be enough to get you started.  For patches, just create a new issue/ticket and attach the patch.  The patch should contain a test case.

Thanks again,
Karl

Hello all,

I've been really interested in becoming active in NHibernate development for some time.  Since I am starting to use NHibernate in much more advanced ways and am eagerly awaiting the release of 2.0, combined with having some extra free time, I'd like to get involved.  I find myself debugging deep into NHibernate quite often during my day to day work and am slowly starting to get my arms around how certain pieces work.  It also seems like momentum has slowed.

One big thing I might try tackling again is NH-1125.  I may have some questions for people who know the codebase better.  I've also downloaded the Hibernate codebase and started to get a java environment setup to be able to dig into that for reference.

The reason I am writing the group is to ask if anyone has any general guidance?  I just started to get my NHibernate development environment setup.  Getting SVN installed, NUnit, downloading the trunk for NH 2.0, etc.

Just to test the environment I submitted a patch for the super simple ticket NH-1283.  When submitting a patch do I simply attach it to the ticket, or do I need to anything else to notify the committers?

Thanks, any guidance would be appreciated.
