The long list of dependencies is not going to make it easy to deploy DocBookWiki on SF. What concerns me in particular is that it needs to "sudo" some commands and I am pretty sure SF would have that locked down. Therefore, I think I am going to continue on to the VM route.

BTW, why build a virtual machine instead of hosting it on Sourceforge? Just curious :)

I had a quick look at DocbookWiki demo, it look like one can paste in the docbook Xml. So it may be a fairly easy proces to get it into the wiki. Let me propose this: I will build the VM as a prove-of-concept. Then we can decide whether to adopt it as the official way to maintain or docs. How does that sound?
