Hi friends.
Work done, Target succeeded!
My opinion for the roadMap to release NH2.0.0GA in two months is:
- create a branch for NH2.0.0
- release NH2.0.0Alpha1 making it available for download in our SourceForge
- review all issue and assign the FixVersion to NH2.0.0 only where possible.
- each of us can candidate him self to solve an issue (where no patch is available)
- who want can start to write the documentation (we can release NH2.0.0GA even if the doc is not available, users can use H3.2 doc)
- Using SVN-log we must create the list of new feature, bug-fixed, breaking-change and behavior breaking change (this is the most important documentation)
- the work in NH2.0.0 branch will be only bug-fixing (no new features)
- release Alpha2, Beta1, Beta2 in sequenced short step during bug fixing.
My opinion for the trunk is:
- The new name of trunk will be NH2.1.0
- Remaining full-port from H3.2.5
- Check port from H3.2.6 after full port of H3.2.5
The new name of the trunk will be NH2.1.0 because I think to active many feature available in the code base of NH2.0.0 but without tests (for that I don't active that features in 2.0).
There are some others matters about "full port" mean.
To let "full port" be a reality we need to work in:
1) AST HQL parser (for what is clear)
2) NHibernate.Intercept.FieldInterceptionHelper (for property laziness)
For the point 1 we have two started solution: one in rhino-tools (based on ANTLR3) and the other in uNhAddIns (based on GOLD parser).
For the point 2 we don't have any started solution and we don't have any request from users.
I would like to start the road-map to NH2.0.0GA max next week (today or tomorrow is better).
Thoughts?
Bye.
Fabio Maulo
